This is it.

Today was the last day of lessons, quizes and yes...the end of Qbasic. Time to set things right. One more final stretch before the finish line - exam week. This is it guys.

ANG HULING HIRIT

Just like my good friend Matt, all things must come to an end...to give way for change. And yes, he is correct. This summer, a lot of us will change. It is time to bury the past and start a new. Ogy's ending his journal too.

BOTTOM LINE

The bottom line is...it is time for me to kill everything that has happened in this journal and turn them into mere memories burried deep in my mind. Why? It's not because of a heartbreak or an embarassing moment but rather it is simply for the develpment of one's self...myself. hahaha

RESURRECTION

Don't worry, I'll still share with you the new journal; a new journal that will start as a clean slate towards new adventures, friends and perhaps love. But let's not go too far. This new journal will mark the start of the future. hehe

AYOS

ayos

THE END

tapos na

CREDITS

Thank you to all... it's been great knowing you... see yah!

Today was the usual boring Friday... You just gotta sit there and let the subjects pass by. Filipino was up first. I got a good score sa LT about Noli.. Next was computer. Computer was terrible. We still couldn't figure that damn code. Mam kasi...di pa tinuturo yung ibang commands. We're lost!!! :( The other subjects were fine as well. I got the lesson sa Algebra.:D The long test in english was fairly easy...

After classes, I went to 3I to meet up with Miko Andrade. I talked to Jordan for a while. Some of Miko's classmates were toying with his guitar. Then Miko stood up and got his guitar. Pinakitaan niya mga kaklase niya ng skillzzzz.. hahaha. ayos. Anyway, we left for Kiks' house. We got there and Kiks wasn't there yet so we stayed in his room talking about guitars and stuff. When Kiks arrived, we headed for the drum room. Ice and Alex (tama ba Miko? hahaha) were there. Then Seoul and Jan arrived. Seoul and I jammed up some few guitar licks, showing this and that... When the Accidentals started paracticing, we went to Kiks' room to stay there and play again with the guitars. Then my brother came. He joined in too and started playing. hahahaha. galing...

So there...that was my day so far. Simple things like these, hanging out with your friends, etc...are some of the things that makes high school still sane.. hahahahahaha. nice...sige.

*watch Jpee's play tomorrow..
*an dun...si...Mrs. Ong at ang 3E! :D

This is it. The final stretch. The school year is coming to a close. Fortunately, some of us will be taking that final leap towards our last year of high school. This means it's nearly goodbye to the happiest days of our lives. But yes, there's still one more year to go until all ends...and for every end, a new beginning always emerges.

Today, I got to do all my homework at the library while listening to the radio. It really took a lot off me especially now that I have more time to catch up on my guitar playing. :D Kiks was absent today...I wonder why. Today, I received my first perfect long test score in chemistry. wohoo. horay for me. Although this is a great blessing, Jpee is still the luckiest guy I know...hahahhaaa. I got to talk to Seoul today over the phone and he taught me some new and really neat guitar licks that expanded my skills. I can't wait until friday when I show em in my mini-jam session with Andrade. On saturday, I'll be going to my old old old teacher's wedding plan rehearsal ekek and play the piano for her. I'm looking forward to it especially because I'll be meeting up with old friends. A lot of things happening right now. Nothing special thoough..just things enough for me to enjoy the week.:D

*hunt a guy named Victor Tanedo...<----I gotta talk to him about next week's art week. hahaha
*practice practice practice my guitar to be able to reach the likes of Seoul and Tim
*admire the thing I think I will never have...errrgg... it's display is so tempting...

I was on my way to JB music to get J. Petrucci's cd (it's a rare instructional footage and his hair was still long and looked gay...hahaha. oo Seoul, meron na akong kopya..trade? bigay mo sa akin yung concert ng G3 live at Liverpool) when I heard a remix of an old Latin Jazz music. I forgot the title but it sounded catchy. Anyway, when I entered the music store, I started observing the people in it (it's funny when you observe all kinds of people in the music store. hehe). There weas this fat guy who looked very sophisticated. He wore glasses, had a briefcase with him, had a PDA phone that he used to talk to some guy about some shipment and business stuff. This guy was probably some big time business dude with the suit and fancy watch and all. He then talked to the store guy to check out this bass. He plugged it in and...kaboom...he was the fastest bass jazz player I ever saw. This guy could really play. He had his eyes closed and I could feel the ground vibrate. His scaling was fast, accurate and precise. Then his PDA phone rang and started talking business again. Afterwards, he got out his credit card and bought the base, picked up his suitcase, stared at his watch and marched out of the room. Next, I saw this girl who was in a formal wear and had an id. I saw her id and it showed that she worked for this company (I forgot the name but I know the company because I always pass by their building before going home). Anyway, she was talking to the guy at the counter. The guy handed her a violin. She examined it and started playing. What a sound! galing...sobra. So then, I bought the cd and went on my way...

This event made me realize something. You don't have to have a career in music to be really good at music or a respected musician or be a virtuoso... Like the businessman and the businesswoman, their music is for the soul. They probably use their talent to ease themselves after a hard days work at the office. So yeah...I finally have an insight on what I would want to become...someone who works hard to someday be successful and use music as a reward for my hardwork. hehehe. Oh yeah, the guidance test showed that Wiley and fell into the business administration and economics. Although I chose administration and Wiley went for economics. I'm glad I fell into that section where you have to use math (computations etc...) and analyzing stuff...and not in the section where you have to construct drawings (engineering, architecture) even if those sections have areally really high pay...I suck at drawing. hahahahaha. Raggy went to engineering (lucky guy). My first choice was actually management engineering but sadly I fall over there. RaggY's gonna create the next nuclear weapon and it ain't gonna be pretty. hahahahahaha.

I got home in time to see the last part of friends. hehehe. I then finished all my typing work (RA and religion<----wohoo!!! tapos na rin after 2 weeks of typing and videoing...:))) and inserted the cd and watch the seven (not six) string master play (one of the masters of the era when shred was young and the one and only seven string guitar shredder/master) like there's no tomorrow...

FLASHBACK (yesterday)

Yestreday wasn't so bad at all. I woke up early to take the Acet mock exam. It was super hard. I wasn't able to finish the language profeciency part and the mathematics part. Time for the ol laser technique type C!!! hahaha. Ok, after that, I headed to Mcdo. I had no ride so Raggy and I had to take the tricycle. When I got there, I saw Kenji, Yoyo, Allen, Seoul and Migs. We ate and chat for a while before heading to the Blue Eagle Gym. We had a game there and yes, we lost...again. But the game was fun. The other team spoke conotic english...hahahaha. nakakatawa pakinggan. One of their centers looked like the vocalist of Simple Plan (he kept pushing me around while we were aiming for a rebound). saya saya. hehe. Ok, next stop: Moro Lorenzo. Doon kami naligo nila Nilo, Roel, Soncuya at Yoyo. Sarap...at last...HOT WATER!!! hahaha. Sabi namin dun na lang palagi maliligo bago pumasok sa classroom. haha. After meeting up with Jpee and Matt and Bea and some other girls, it was off to Holy Spirit. At first, it was boring...boo. Then it started to get interesting. Yoyo got to talk to Cai with Matt's help. haha. In the concert area, Matt was beside Ria, Cai was beside Yoyo and I was beside...uhh...the bench. hahaha L-). The concert was great...Bamboo, BARBIE, Sponge Cola..and oh yeah, there was this amateur band who had a lead guitarist who knew how to shred!!! At last!!1 a fellow bretheren! Shred is not dead! hahaha. So, I told Seoul all about it, who happened to follow afterwards. Before leaving the place, there was this conflict between Olats and some girl named Joke...hahahaha. oo mali spelling. Anyway, after that was fixed, we headed for the car. Before leaving I was able to see Mai. :D yeah. ganda ng suot niya. Matt told me she came from a recital thing. hehe. ganda!! haha. After leaving the school, Roel, Yoyo, Matt and I passed by 711 for a quick snack. After dropping the guys off, I went home...........and slept. zzzzzzzz...

Ogy!!! Nakakainspire sila!!! kailan next jam!! pucha...kating-kati na ako!!! hahaha..

sa FEB...

*in the van
*****: ****, alam mo yung feeling kapag kinausap mo yung isang babae tapos kinakausap ka...pero yung tipong sobrang sweet niya sa iyo tapos naglalambingan pa kayo. So, you think that you have a shot with this girl and you really really like this girl... But later you find out that she's jus TOO friendly...and it's practically her nature to be like that. Parang, wow, labo...more like sayang. hehe.

****: Alam mo pare, mahirap magkababae... HIRAP... (other stuff about how difficult it is to persue a girl)..blahblahblah...lose concentration...blahblahblah..........HIRAP PARE...no more DoTa for me....

TODAY
Today, my family and I went to Church...minus my mom because she had a badinton tournament and promised to share the prize money with us if she won. :D After lunch at Greenbelt, my sis and I watched A Very Long Engagement. ang haba! pero it was nice. kaya lang puro subtitles because the movie was in French. But it was very cool...the way the love story came around. hahaha. unexpected yun ah. Parang detective story siya...

Basically, yun yung weekend ko. There were some events in between na confidential na...;) so there...

Yeah, malapit na prom! wohoo! excited na ko!!! :D

one more thing:
SHRED IS NOT DEAD!!!
Today was a great day to go to school. :D

First of all, we only had 30 minutes per subject and we were out by 12:30. I had a great time during Filipino. Our teacher concluded the Noli in the simplest and most visual way. Many people think that the epilogue part of Noli is the most boring part. For me, the epilogue is like the transition towards El Fili. The epilogue told what happened to all the characters except one - Crisostomo Ibarra. That made me want to start reading the El Fili. hehe. After filipino, DoTA boys started racing out of the classroom. It was really funny to watch. hahahaha. Anyway, afterwards, I met up with Robert and we headed out to the covered courts to do some sound check with the choir. Then, we ate lunch at the caf and changed to our attires for the University Awards. We waited at 4M together with Niko, Bugi and the other symphonic members. While waiting, we got to see all sorts of teachers from the whole of Ateneo pass by. Some were my old teachers so I greeted them for old times sake. Then, we talked for a while (mostly about bungy jumping and rollercoasters). When it was time to play, we went to our positions. The conductor made his cue, and we started to make music. The piano was great (they tuned it at last. haha). After the awards, Robert and I waited outside the 4M classroom. We started jamming some blues stuff, then some jazz then some weird mexican music. hahaha. We even opened our guitar bags to see if anyone passing by would drop some coins. Only the janitor stayed to listen to our "street performance". hahaha. Before going home, I passed by the music store to buy some classical cds for my collection. It was really good. I also passed by Mobile 1 to check if the phone my dad wanted was available (no, I'm not going to buy it for him. He just wanted me to check if it was there so he could get it. He's really turning into a gadget person; collecting all sorts of high tech stuff). When I got home, my mom told me that Kaks wanted to go to her batch party and had to use the car...so sorry Matt, I guess I can't go to the Holy Spirit fair...and I won't be able to see her. :( Anyway, I guess I'm going to spend the extra time to finish the video presentation and master the Concerto in A minor for next week's music exhibition (Arts Week sa Ateneo).

So, this day has been mainly about music...hehe

Music always makes my day... hahahaha.

Studying and talking is hardly what I do nowadays. My guitar is starting to rust and my fingers are hardening again. I live a boring life (one of the many reasons why I should get a girlfriend. hahaha).

On a lighter side, we have this hw in filipino. It's like a reflection paper on Noli. It really boosted my moral to study because I have been in love with the book recently. It's funny how I became so attatched to Rizal's beautiful literature works while others think it's a waste of time and read just to pass filipino (can't you see the talent our country has? hehe). Anyway, for me the book is really smart with more twists than Harry Potter and more thrilling than LOTR trilogy. It just goes to show that Filipino talent CAN touch the lives of many. hehe... I'm reading it again from chapter 1 without any book notes or without touching the english version. You can only appreciate the true beauty of the book through the language of Rizal..Filipino...

Ayos? ayos. :D

Almost all the gorgeous looking girls go to church. hahahahaha. I was taking communion and I couldn't help but look. Everywhere I turned, there was always some girl either looking back or trying to pray. hahahaha. grabe... I really need a girlfriend..hahahaha. labo... :D

The family ate at Pancake House at Greenbelt. While waiting for the food, my sis and I walked around and went to the music store. I checked out some jazz, classical and virtuoso (guitars) tracks. My sis went for the alternative section. hehe. We were supposed to get a copy of Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind (tama ba tittle?) starring Jim Carrey. It was a great movie and we wanted the copy but my sister wanted the DVD version. tssss. arte... joke lang sis! (she's a collector when it comes to movies and only wants the best. :D ). So there... While going back, I told her how much I wanted a grand piano. I know she wanted one too. hehe. We wanted that thing since we were little kids. Anyway, we got home just in time for the fiesta. It kinda reminded me of Noli...hehe.

So that's that. A typical Sunday with the family...

5 things I want as of now:
-girlfriend (haha)
-grand piano
-DSL connection
-an EP record with Mudskipper
-cure for cancer (no...wala akong cancer... but I know some people who do..:( )

F*ckin defective gutiar...

Today was a very tiring but fruitful day. After classes, I headed to the MST to practice. The piano there was finally tuned and place was ok. When playing time came, I was so nervous. First, I had a piece that was given to me only 2 hours before so I had exactly 2 hours to practice it. It went great. I played it with the violin guy. Galing pa nung isang choir na puro bata.. *such angelic voices at such a young age. hahaha

After the MST recital, Ogy, Allen and I headed for the MC pre-prom. We did a lot of talking and joking at first. Then Miko and Jordan started getting nervous. haha. When it was our turn to play..things went wrong. The soundcheck was great...funky and stylish. hahaha. Then Allen's base didn't work for a while. After 5 min or so, we got it to work and started our set. At the first song, my guitar went crazy and out of tune. So, Miko continued playing while I tuned my guitar on stage. hahaha. di naman ata halata. The second song was great. I got my guitar to work and we did it. Overall, I guess it was an OK performance. It wasn't what I expected because I knew I could have done better. Sila lang yung nakatugtog ng maayos. Kaya yun. The ending was ok I guess.

to the band:
Thanks guys! You really made the night close with a blast. hahahaha. We really had a great time today. Till next time! Let the music keep on playing. :D

Girls are such powerful creations of God. I just left JB Music after buying Ernie Ball strings, the best strings in the world, for a friend (pucha, bayaran mo ko bukas! Wala na akong pera ngayon. hahaha). As I passed across a restaurant, I happened to glance at what seemed to be the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. hahaha. She was so beautiful that I decided to write here about how I got struck by her beauty. And here it goes : unexplainable. hahahahhahaha...

Anyway, enough of that stuff. Today, I practiced with the mini orchestra and the faculty choir for the service awards on February 4. After practice, I got to talk to Mr. Yucoco while getting some souvenir miriendas. hehe. Anyway, he told me about the small musical exhibition on friday and asked if I was ready. I was ready but I was more curious about what time it would end. He said that it won't go past 8. I felt relieved because I had to do something at about 8:45 ---- playing at the preprom. hahaha. YEah...at last I'll be able to make it. :D (Kung gusto niyo ng tickets, bili kayo sa akin kasi may hati ako sa bayad...hahahaha).

GLORY

I hunger for it again. I want that feeling once more. I want to taste it's sweetness. I want to feel once again, that sense of achievement. That's why I try to give my all in my studies (kahit 3rd term na). Sure, I'm sure for passing the year but it is a fact that I can still squeeze more out of the little time I have left. Not only that, I also try to take all the challenges that are presented to me (music, chances to lead, etc...). This sense of achievement is hard to uh...achieve. hahahaha. But once you feel it, you get high. And once you're high, you stay high. This high is a different kind of high because it sticks and stays in the halls of our lives.

Call me ambitious, but it is always better to look past our limits and reach for what we feel we can...or even better, outdo ourselves. <lj:music>Boogie Wonderland - EWF</lj:music>

yeah...I feel great today.

This morning, I couldn't take a bath yet beause of two reasons: I had to check if the video presentation I edited last night will work on the VCD player and I had to log in to GSIS using the card of a friend of my mom's. The guy had to loan 5000 pesos from GSIS through the net for financial purposes. (The problem was that the guy didn't know how to use the computer, let alone the internet. My mom didn't know how to use it too so they turned the job to me.). After testing the VCD I made (it didn't work at the old player. I had to use the new one), it was off to the computer. Actually, I've been doing this thing since last night while editing the video. It turns aout that you can only register the eGSIS before 7pm. pucha... Anyways, it's still morning, so I still had time. It was hell I tell yah...damn GSIS servers won't work (server busy shit and stuff). After several tries, I got in. I loaned 5000 pesos to his card...

(The truth was at first, I was pissed off that I had to help out this guy out for nth time...Still, something motivated me to help him out again. I think it was because of the works of Rizal I have read and was inspired by.)

Afterwards, I felt great that I was able to help out. The guy's one of the less fortunate people in the Philippines who decided to stay instead of leaving the country to find money. Actually, I've been helping him for some time now. I did his son's projects (simple word documents) and other simple things like research for his son. It's not that their using me. It's just that they don't have a computer at home. Heck, they don't even have a home. They just rent. Thinking of these things, and how I helped them even in the most simple ways, made me feel good inside. Kahit medyo baduy, if you think of it, people like me are very lucky to have such privileges like a home and a good education. So, instead of enjoying these, why not use it to help others? The problem with the world today is that we can't let down our pride for one second to help others.

haha..ok...Rizal inspired? baduy...pero it's the truth. The guy's a genius. A true Filipino..

Ok, that's for this morning...now I'm off to Mcdo to jam with the band.. Time to make some music.
